New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week, a semi annual event from the fashion week that takes place in NYC.

The NYFW is considered the most important show in the fashion industry.

This year, the NYFW has taken place from 9.8.21 until 9.12.21.

Between the designers…

CHRISTIAN COWAN

Christian Cowan manages to make his designs outstanding thanks to his lively spirit and great creative capacity. He has an affinity for unique materials as feathers, sequins...

This Fashion Week, the designer has shown us his great commitment to skin: transparencies, cut-outs.... In general, pieces that let the skin shine.

As we have already commented, we can see the presence of feathers in his designs.

We highlight in his runway geometric shapes and feathers.

DUR DOUX

This brand is based on the concept of "portability with an avant-grade sensibility". This way we expect to see the latests trends in its designs.

This runway was located at the terrace of Spring Studios (NYC).

Among de designs presented, it stands out the great commitment to pastel colors for the SS21.

PATBO

The brazilian brand runway took place at Le Pavillon in Manhattan.

The looks that the designer has shown us evidence, once again, that cut-outs are going to be present in our looks the next SS season.

Unlike the Durante Doux runway, this brand is committed to vibrant and warm colors and tones.

MOSCHINO

At the Moschino show, the designer has surprised us with a mix of girlish, nanny style with women suits to go to the office.

We see suits with short and tight skirts, jackets, tweed, gloves, heels ... but "childish" prints of animals such as elephants and giraffes, pastel and bright colors.

And hey!! Doesn't it remind you a lot of 60s fashion? Is 60s fashion coming back? We'll se if the saying "EVERYTHING RETURNS" is true...

Something that has become clear to us is that cut-outs have come to stay, and the good thing is that "low cost" brands as Zara, P&B, Mango... are already into it, so you can get your "cut-out" items from NOW!

In this fashion week we have seen two sides: the side of pastel colors and the side of vibrant and bright colors. What side are you from? I am, without a doubt, from the side of vibrant colors!

If you want to know more about the NYFW: backstages, behind the scenes, influencers at the Fashion Week, the events, red carpets... and much more, make sure you follow us on instagram, where you will find this and SO MUCH MORE!!

We really hope you enjoyed our article, see you at the next one.
